Robert never married. He raised his nephew Walter McCurdy from a child, after his father, Adam, died.

Brant Native Dies

Ayton- Robert John McCurdy, 90, of Brant township died in a Walkerton Nursing home on Friday

Mr. McCurdy was a farmer and lived all his life on the farm where he was born, until he went into the Walkerton Nursing Home a few years ago. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McCurdy.

Mr. McCurdy attended the Anglican Church and was a member of the Orange Lodge.

Surviving are three nephews, Richard McCurdy, Brant township, Telford McCurdy, Saskatchewan, Daniel McCurdy, Flin Flon, Manitoba and one niece Mrs. M. Russell, Ayton. He was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.
