He married Verlie Elsie Haw 22 December 1922 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, daughter of George Brock Haw and Mary Ellen Cunning. She was born 27 July 1900 in Sheho District, Saskatchewan, Canada, and died 29 May 1980 in Carlsbad Private Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
