He married Doris Eleanor Littlejohn 18 February 1948 in Carlyle, Saskatchewan, Canada, daughter of Ernest Wilfred Littlejohn and Caroline Johanne Wilhelminne Peters. She was born 26 September 1927 in Lampman, Saskatchewan, Canada, and died 19 June 2004 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada.
