He married Laura Mauer 17 May 1911 in Walkerton, Brant Township, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada, daughter of Charles Heinrich Christian Mauer and Josephine Lahn. She was born 15 January 1895 in Bentinck Township, Grey County, Ontario, Canada, and died 17 November 1969 at her residence, Bentinck Township, Grey County, Ontario, Canada .

1. Walter McCurdy, was born 20 June 1911, Chesley, Elderslie Township, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada; and died 09 April 1943, Chesley, Elderslie Township, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada.
2. Daniel McCurdy, was born 04 November 1912, South River, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada; and died 22 July 1989, Kelvington, Saskatchewan, Canada.
3. Richard McCurdy, was born 07 February 1915, Ontario, Canada; and died 16 June 1996, London, Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada.
4. Mary Laura Adeline McCurdy, was born 21 February 1917, Ontario, Canada; and died 25 September 1970, Hanover and District Hospital, Normanby Township, Grey County, Ontario, Canada.
